Ceremonies on the deck epitomise Colorado majestic beauty and your out-of-state guests will be blown away by the views. They’ll feel special in the altititude, as they are — they’re witnessing you exchanging vows!

Beyond photographs on the grounds, we can explore the hilltop area surrounding the venue or journey into town for fun & funky walkabout photos in the historic streets of Breckenridge.

HOW I WORK

I suggest starting photography two hours before the ceremony. After capturing candid last-minute preparations and personal details, we can efficiently photograph the wedding party and small family groups, freeing you to enjoy the cocktail hour with your guests. 

Over the years, I’ve become a dynamic photographer who quietly responds to unfolding moments. My two lightning-fast cameras and photojournalistic instincts help me answer three essential questions: 1) What’s the big picture? 2) What are the details? 3) What’s the emotion? Throughout each event, I continually seek storytelling images, as seen in my website galleries—wide-angle scenes mixed with focused shots, all capturing emotion.

Above all, our minds instinctively recognize quality light in a photo. I can immediately assess lighting for the best results. Should I move the subjects a few steps to improve the light on their faces? Should I activate mobile lighting to enhance or balance the scene’s flat light? You can’t fix poor light on a computer—it must be right at the moment. I’m always searching for great light on a wedding day, or I create it with swift adjustments.

Group photos and portraits require careful direction. I offer clear guidance to achieve balanced, well-composed images with good posture and harmony. These shots often become mantel keepsakes for decades, so I aim for images that are timeless, serene, and light.
