ANYTIME OF THE YEAR

I’ve photographed weddings at the Westin Riverfront Resort in Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The foliage along the Eagle River makes for a serene backdrop. From the cocktail patio, it’s a few steps down to the cycle path and across to the big boulders along to the water’s edge. It’s a handy spot for a first look, couple’s photos during cocktail hour, or a sunset sneak-out. Other favorite photo spots on the property are the staircase on the Western exterior, the lobby, and the entrance to the Stoke & Rye restaurant.

FAST CAR

With a little timeline planning, we can craft a schedule that includes off-site photography. Perhaps a first look up in Beaver Creek village, along the stream and recreation path, or maybe some epic valley views up Buck Creek Road. Add about 30 minutes to the timeline for travel, photos, and return time.

Beyond organized couples’ photos, family groups, and the wedding party, I’m mostly a candid photojournalist throughout the day, documenting moments as they come. I’m surfing the emotional waves of your wedding with two fast cameras ready for action, and my 20 years of experience gives me a spidey sense of when things are going to happen. Keeping in sync with your venue captain and DJ also helps me stay 5-10 minutes ahead of unfolding rituals and have gear prepped for coverage. Instant requests come to me all day from wedding parties, parents, extended relatives, and friends, and I’m always happy to put something fun together. “Let’s do it.”

A typical mountain wedding coverage for me is shooting solo for seven hours, but I want the photo service to be right-sized for your event. For an intimate wedding, maybe 4 or 5 hours makes more sense, or if you’re hosting a giant blowout, we can assemble a package with two photographers for 8 hours or more.
