Overlooking Lake Estes and standing at the gates of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park is a perfect backdrop for a Colorado wedding. It was founded in 1859 by Joel Estes, a man who struggled with gold fever. He moved his wife and 13 kids West and stuck in rich. A hunting trip brought him into the mountains and his he put Estes Park on the map as a source for plentiful deer and elk. Estes and his family had the valley to themselves for a few years, but the editor of the Rocky Mountain News would spend leisure time on the Estes’ homestead, and he soon spread the word. My decades as a Estes Park wedding photographer has allowed me to soak up some of the inspiring scenery just a short drive from the city.

For brief periods when we take posed images, we make it fast and fun. I don’t make silly people do serious things, or serious people do silly things. The images are a reflection of how you dreamed that one awesome day to be. I don’t care if your wedding is high end or low end, as your wedding will be as good as you feel about it.
