This was different. Usually the second cake is the “Groom’s Cake”, but this time it’s a Swedish ring cake (kransekage) playing on Ruth’s family roots.
I’ve heard these Swedish ring cakes (almonds, sugar, marzipan) can have a bottle of wine hidden inside. Hmmm, who wants to find out?
