Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding :: Natalie + Eric
5,000 acres of Colorado bliss centered around Camp Ouray. After one tour, N+E knew they had to have a Snow Mountain Ranch wedding. This bright sunny Summer ceremony took place at Columbine Point, named for Colorado’s state flower which blooms around the amphitheater from mid-June into July. Columbine Point Chapel was developed by former Chaplain Phil Dicks and volunteers from the United Methodist Church over a period of several years.
This day was filled with dogs and local brews. I particularly liked the gathering moments after the recessional to toast the couple and take in the views. Despite the dress, it was all very laid-back — as evidenced by Eric’s impromptu wilderness WC visit. “Hey, if you can’t do it around family & friends who can you do it around?”. Special thanks to my brother of another mother, Juan Mares for hosting the high altitude dance party reception.
Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding :: Lisa + Nate
A funny thing happened to me one day in a coffee shop. Finishing up a wedding planning meeting with clients, two strangers introduced themselves and asked, “are you tomK?” Turns out they were shopping for a Snow Mountain Ranch wedding photographer and had the whole google / laptop / coffee thing going in high gear. Seeing some of my previous work from the venue, Nate looks across the room and says, “I think that’s him right there!” We became fast friends and it was a thrill to attend their late Autumn mountain wedding.
Kudos to Lisa and her Mom’s decor style. They did so much with the blank canvas, figuring cold weather might keep everyone inside. Their gamble paid off as things got frigid but turn into a hot mess dance party. DJ Larry Nosbish brings the most beautiful light show of any DJ in Colorado — just look at the way it lights up the ceiling. What space port is this?
