Noami & Ernesto | Fort Collins Hilton Hotel Wedding & Reception
Congratulations to Naomi & Ernesto who put a ceremonial bow on their new marriage. Naomi’s a graduate-student/social-worker exploring women’s studies. Ernesto’s a service industry specialist and a familiar face about town.
Friends & family wanted to celebrate their Justice Of The Peace nuptials with a warm family get together with relatives traveling from all over Colorado and Chihuahua, Mexico. Noami’s asked her yogi, Gwyn to officiant a brief, warm ceremony then is was wonderful food and music at the Fort Collins Hilton.
My favorite part of Mexican wedding receptions is the Dance of The Sponsors. This allows a very public and festive thanks to the important family members close to the bride & groom (godparents, grandparents, aunts & uncles) who assist with wedding costs. All are announced individually and invited to a growing group dance and each shares some dancing time (and a hug) with the bride or groom. Most of the sponsors have been vital to the bride or groom since birth and it’s a warm show of gratitude for a life’s contribution. It takes a village to raise a child (and pay for a wedding, lol).
