I gasped the first time I set foot in Our Lady Of Loretto chapel parish in Centennial/Foxfield. Such a majestic church!
Ben was a groomsman at a favorite wedding of a few seasons ago and had seen me work quietly in big churches before, so he was confident I could discreetly document the day. During a full Catholic mass, you really do wish you were invisible – not wanting to disturb the reverence.
The super fun reception was held at Valley Country Club in Cenntennial! I love getting lost in a reception crowd with an ultra-wide lens – hands over my head, not even looking through the viewfinder. The famous war photojournalist Robert Capa said, “if your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” Indeed. Ben made me laugh when he opted not to throw the garder for anyone’s catch — instead, throwing it right at his best friend. Careful, you’re gonna put an eye out with that thing!
