Megan & Chad had a beautiful ceremony in Denver back and forth between the Oxford Hotel and Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church.
Montview was Park Hill’s first church with a congregation going back 100 years. The combination of stone exterior and shade trees can create some of the most beautiful lighting combinations in Summer. Magan & Chad’s church exit was one of the most surreal scenes I’ve ever encountered. If you had a Hollywood lighting crew of 100 you couldn’t manufacture a look just like that. The stained glass inside makes for some wonderful photo backdrops, and I don’t think it’s possible to capture all the great portrait spots at Montview in just one wedding.
After some fun with the bridal party at Denver’s City Park we were off to a waiting reception at The Oxford Hotel. I particularly liked Megan’s choice of Nick Drake’s “Pink Moon” as a first dance song. If I had just one favorite musician, it would be Nick Drake so to hear him at a wedding is special indeed. Also loved the prints displayed of our fun engagement photo session in Vail last Autumn.
