She’s from St. Petersburg, Russia – he’s from Oklahoma City, USA. The place of their dreams? Colorado, of course. The staff at Della Terra Estes Park were their usual awesome selves and made the winter night reception so so smoothly. In the middle of all the reception fun, I looked down to see Katya’s dad’s written toast notes. I thought, “my what wonderful handwritting” then took a second look … they were in Russian (image above). All the toasts were sealed with vodka (Russian of course), and some well-wishes were read from friends back home who couldn’t attend. The night air was a little crisp, but didn’t get in the way of group photos — we hoped out for a few fun ones. Dancing went late into the night. I don’t think I see anyone sitting! I’ve photographed a number of Russian-American unions and they’re always so festive. Congratulations to you both! Can’t wait to see your storybook picks!
