Green Gables Country Club plays host to a perfect day!
Jennifer + John | Denver Military Wedding
The couple met online while John was serving in Iraq. Since a traditional date was out of the question, a long-distance romance began — burning up every conceivable form of electronic communication. Different lands and different timezones couldn’t keep this couple apart. The budding electronic romance left an trail, that got replayed at the reception. Jennifer’s Maid Of Honor toast included excerpts long eMail threads between the girls when Jennifer and John’s relationship was just starting out. Easily, one of the Top 3 reception speeches of all time. Wow! Bridesmaids tip :: save eMail and text threads if you thing your girlfriend has found “the one”.
John, thank you for your service to our country. Jennifer, thank you for inviting me to tag along on your day! Are you planning a Denver military wedding? I’d love to document it. Please click on the camera below to see if I’m available on your day.
UPDATE ~ This is my last wedding at Green Gables as the 81-year-old golf course has been sold and will likely be redeveloped as residential space. Green Gables has been an quiet oasis in bustling Denver since the 1920s. The facility sports two wedding ceremony sites and stunning views along Ward Lake. The grounds and staff were first rate, and I will miss both a great deal.
