Trinity + Alika | Jays Bistro Fort Collins
Colorado winters are dynamic. Warm, Sunny days followed by biting cold snaps. When a large Wedding guest list arrives from say, Hawaii, you hope for one of our warm & sunny Winter spells. In this case, it didn’t happen. So these Hawaiians got to find out what we mean in Colorado when WE say … CHILL.
Trinity’s finishing up CSU Vet school while Alika is #2 chef at Jay’s Bistro. Family came in from the big island. All assembled at Horsetooth Reservoir and set-up a quick ceremony site. Carolyn Carpenter officiated this community ceremony as everyone read a passage from scripture or classic literature. The couple’s dogs like the attention but were wondering all the while if the Hawaiian lei’s were edible (not that dogs think before eating).
Now it’s off to Jay’s for a 4 course wine pairing prepared with love by Jay, Jacki and everyone in the back for their favorite co-worker. Jay’s hot pepper work pants were a nice touch. Smaller portions with wine is a great way to stretch out an evening, so the eating and stories last late into the night. The final nite-cap was a single-digit carriage ride around Old Town with all sorts of pedestrians cheering the couple to life’s next chapter! Planning a Jays Bistro Fort Collins reception, or perhaps another event in Fort Collins. I’d be honored to document it. Please click on the camera below to see if I’m available on your day!
