Grand Hyatt Denver Wedding Reception :: Saint Dominic Parish Denver Wedding
Erin’s a writer from Denver and Asa’s entering Med School to be a family doctor – much of his family came in from Ray, Colorado. Now that’s a bridal party! How we all fit into the Porsche limo is still a mystery, lol. The band Funkiphino was so much fun – beginning with the rocked up father/daughter dance! Congrats to Erin + Asa and thanks for having me along on such a fun day!
We can’t tell you how THRILLED we are with your pictures!!! All the
light, the colors, the candid moments you captured! They’re beautiful
unto themselves. Thank you for seeing the day as we saw it–PERFECT.
So many thanks — Erin

Andi & Ryan | Grand Hyatt Denver Wedding
The sounds of sheer happiness and, perhaps, a little nerves. Andi held court in her suite at the Grand Hyatt with a stream of well-wishing relatives. Dad, who adorned the bride’s dress with a Cubs cap. The aunties who joked about lighting up to calm Andi (it’s legal in Colorado now). The bridesmaids in blue dressed early, and helped Andi tuck into her cowgirl-in-the-city wedding dress, complete with cowgirl boots. Laughter, joy, and peace. She was about to marry her strong silent man.
Since the couple met during an afternoon Rockies game, a short trip over to Coors Field for a photo (and a hot dog) was essential. Those nine innings turned into a forever proposition. The groom’s grasslands Colorado family showing off Denver to the Chicagoland imports. It’s a great city to be proud off, and all on display with views from the Grand Hyatt’s 38th floor windows. For such a well-grounded and family-centric couple, they have a passion for travel. Photos of the worldly adventures decorated the reception space, complete with a suitcase wedding cake. Living in a great place that tops all the happiness indexes is an powerful anchore. From the furthest village, on the other side of the globe, the couple will have an internal compass that will guide them home. Congratulations, and please update us on your passport stampings.

Evening light in Downtown Denver can take on this mysterious tone ~ wrapping around skyscrapers that reflect it back with rich hues. There’s no such thing as a black shadow, as reflective colored light is everywhere.
Nikki + John :: Grand Hyatt Denver Wedding Reception :: Trinity Methodist Church Denver Wedding
Evening light in Downtown Denver can take on this mysterious tone ~ wrapping around skyscrapers that reflect it back with rich hues. There’s no such thing as a black shadow, as reflective colored light is everywhere. It was a treat to hang and laugh with Nikki’s family and friends from Kansas City. I have a good many relatives from that metro and could swap addresses and favorite restaurants with the best of the them, lol. John’s local, in finance, and has he distinction of being the first groom to wear a name tag to his own wedding to avoid any confusion with his twin brother Mark. Look at those last couple of dancing photos. John has his tag on for First Dance, while Mark is dancing below with Nikki to Justin Timberlake. More than once during the day I’d be stalking the groom with a camera, then say to myself “Dude, that’s MARK.”
Trinity Methodist Church is a big one. When finished in 1888 it was considered the largest meeting space in Denver. It has a history of illustrious paritioners including Isaac Blake, the founder of Conoco. It holds over 1,000 and has to have the world’s record for the most square footage of crimson carpet ever installed.
Special thanks to Marta from Denver Grand Hyatt and MC Johnny Cruz for being my partners in crime for the day. Both make any day more fun (and professional). Also a shout out to Clementine’s Devine Designs (no website) of Thornton for the awesome florial work. Such color! Planning a Trinity Methodist Church Denver wedding?
