Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding | Shelby + Reagan
S + R’s funfest was a Groundhog’s Day wedding for me. I wish I could photograph it over and over again. Sure it was crazy with schedules running late and everyone running to and frou but the images don’t lie — it was a blast! The bride and groom were deep into greek life and their wedding parties were huge with society and fraternity members. The girls were singing and joking all day and everyone had a cheeky air about them. An uncle performed the ceremony that was sealed with a hand-wrap. Afterwards, it was yogurt snacks for everyone then we explored the gardens looking for fun photo spots. Finally, we made our way to the University Club for the reception.
Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding | Julie + Chris
Sometimes life moves pretty fast. Two med students at the end of school, taking M-CATs and planning a wedding. I need a nap just thinking about it. Our bride (officially “doctor” as named a week before her wedding) had a close friend who grew up a block away from the Botanic Gardens, and the house made for a perfect getting ready space. We met the guys, ready for fun and made our way through the park slaying all with their cuteness (love the pineapple tattoo, Doc). Another friend (it’s great to have friends) performed the ceremony which served as a mile-marker for the couple’s end of school and beginning their next chapter. All the guests gave them a huge round of applause and high-fives during the recessional. A vintage Rolls carted the couple of to the reception at Vita Restaurant in the Highlands.

Spring was in full bloom for this May wedding of two doctors — back in country after a stint with Doctors Without Borders. The cherry blossoms were in their color peak on that cool May day and it framed the couple well. Lauren remarked the gardens grounds were her favorite spot in Denver to meditate and read in a nice, quiet spot. She couldn’t image getting married anywhere else.
Planning a wedding or elopement? I’d be honored to document it. I’m used to moving quickly around changing schedules and staying out of everyone’s way. You’ll remember a wedding — not a photo shoot. To see if I’m available on your day, please engage the CONTACT page from the top drop-down menu.
