Della Terra Wedding :: Della Terra Mountain Chateau :: Lindsay + Patrick

Yeah, you all are super cute and nice and fun and hip but LOOK AT THAT CANDY TABLE, lol. I walked in and felt like Homer Simpson, drooling “mmm, candy.” Oh wait, there’s more … on table Number Two, pastries!  … on table Number Three, soda pop with the groom’s last name. It all might seem a little over indulgent, but considering the bride and groom met a natatorium (go ahead, we’ll wait while you google it) and all their friends have fins — calories are not an issue here. Beer, candy, baked goods, let er’ rip!

We managed to catch some late afternoon January sun to highlight the cuteness of Lindsay’s short (!) dress and her posse of legs. I’m wondering how that eMail went over when Lindsay announced the bridesmaids would have exposed legs for her Estes Park Winter wedding. Patrick was obviously delighted in the first look seeing Lindsay’s uber-cute short dress for the first time (it was the hit of the day for everyone).

After sigining the license we hopped outside for some quick group photos and I had the wedding party shower me with beer (The Broncos had just had a big playoff win so it was appropriate). Go ahead, the camera’s waterproof. Second shooter Mia on lighting detail j-u-s-t missed getting a bath.

Della Terra Wedding :: Della Terra Mountain Chateau :: Heather + Zach

Fort Collins will miss its rockstar hairdresser with the giant smile, but Seattle will gain this dynamic couple and we know whose doorstep to crash on when we desire strong coffee and space needles. So it’s one last party in Colorado before life takes them to the Great Northwest — make it a big one. Enter, Della Terra.

Dueling Pianos provided a real show for H+Z’s reception. Requests, serenades, wedding guest performances, phew — they’re anything but background music. Nobody will ever forget Heather and her sisters on stage. They’re ready for Vegas. Estes in early Summer is so magical. The melting snow makes everything so green and the wind has a hint of moisture.

Della Terra Wedding | Della Terra Mountain Chateau Estes Park, Colorado :: Chris + Dennis

This couple somehow met & courted during their busy careers in I.T., yet Chris was clear she didn’t want a computer anywhere near her wedding. Smart phones off, please! It was one of those perfect days at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park and it was difficult for me or my friend Michael Stowe to take a bad photo all day. Lots of pretty light and emotion to keep us busy. Thanks to Sharon at Best Day Floral for the referral ~ you were right, we WERE the perfect match! (nice arrangements too, btw).

Estes Park Destination Wedding | Della Terra Mountain Chateau :: Katya + Joe

She’s from St. Petersburg, Russia — he’s from Oklahoma City, USA. The place of their dreams? Colorado, of course. The staff at Della Terra Mountain Chateau were their usual awesome selves and made the winter night reception so so smoothly. In the middle of all the reception fun, I looked down to see Katya’s dad’s written toast notes. I thought, “my what wonderful handwritting” then took a second look … they were in Russian (image above).  All the toasts were sealed with vodka (Russian of course), and some well-wishes were read from friends back home who couldn’t attend. The night air was a little crisp, but didn’t get in the way of group photos — we hoped out for a few fun ones. Dancing went late into the night. I don’t think I see anyone sitting! I’ve photographed a number of Russian-American unions and they’re always so festive. Congratulations to you both! Can’t wait to see your storybook picks!

Grand landscapes, beautiful grounds and excellent service punctuate every event at this award-winning venue. My plan for meaningful wedding photography is simple — keep things light and quick moving. No long and fatiguing posing sessions, I prefer many short mini-sessions. A few minutes with the girls, a few minutes with the guys, short family sessions and just the right amount of time with bride and groom allowing you to actually enjoy your wedding. With fast cameras and innovative lighting technics, your wedding is covered the flair and sparkle it deserves. Am I available for wedding photography on your day?
