Leyden + Rhett | Boulder Creek Wedding

A fun Summer afternoon along Boulder Creek with great food, music and family. That was the recipe for Leyden & Rhett’s most awesome day. The Wedgwood on Boulder Creek (formerly The Red Lion Inn) provided the canvas and food for the Philippines-meets-Hawaii family summit. MC Johnny Cruz provided the soundtrack which included Gingham Style on the big grassy lawn (versus the usual dance floor). Juan even commented at some point, “I really love this style of reception.”

Jenga is a Swahili word that means “to build” and the three Jenga towers (no waiting) got very tall before the inevitable collapse. There are over 2.7 billion Jenga blocks in the world, but 162 were specially cut by Rhett just for this day. The blocks then became their guest list as everyone was invited to scribe well-wishes on any block they chose.

I couldn’t resist the temptation to follow the tower theme down the creek a little distance to the rock cairns next to the Eben G. Fine park. Please resist the urge to pull a rock out from bottom.

If you’re planning an event at The Wedgwood on Boulder Creek, it’d be my honor to document it. Please contact Paige or Anna at The Wedgwood directly, 303-443-5882 to see if we’re available on your day.
