Amber & Jason met while working as co-nannies, which was perhaps the best of all opportunities to observe a potential future mate in the domestic category. It was only fitting that their employer was their wedding officiant — and the children they took care of would be the ring bearer and flower girl! It was a storybook Autumn Edgewater Pavillion Wedding with family & friends coming from all over The West and New York to perfect temperatures and an awesome sunset. The ceremony included Blessing Stone ritual which highlights a vase filled with stones that were seperately held be each wedding guest who silently gave their well wishes, then dropped into the collection. Positive vibrations. I particularly dug fun images from our Summer Engagement Photo Session used on the gift bags — nice touch!
MC Johnny Cruz hosted the reception, unplugged — meaning, he didn’t use a microphone! No worries, everyone can hear him all to the farthest reaches of the reception tent, and the neighbors around the lake don’t have noise complaints. I’ve photographed close to 50 weddings with Johnny (Juan) and this was a first without a microphone. What’s that about old dogs and new tricks?
