Susan & Dustin | St. Matthews Wedding | Alice Hardy Stevens Center Laramie Ivinson Mansion reception
Super crisp Autumn day punctuated by big color and big laughs. After beautification at the Hilton Garden Inn we blasted in the limo upto the Vedauwoo area to take in the Aspens. Funny moment while shooting Dustin and the girls. A co-worker by coincidence rode his mountain bike past on the trail — “Have a nice wedding, dude.” Indeed.
Back in town, St. Matthews Cathedral was it usual photogenic self. The towers of St Matthews were contributed by Edwin Invison (around 100 years ago) so it’s only fitting that the reception was a quick walk over to Invinson Mansion. Ruth at Fresh Flower Fantasy for being the reference wedding planner of all time. I particularly liked that way she maneuvered between Susan’s parents’ back East formal sensibilities and Susan’s Western laid-back attitude. That’s a delicate tap dance and fun to see a master at work. Throughout the months Bride’s Father was particularly involved in the arrangements and even saluted Ruth at the reception with his original song, “Wedding Planner Blues” as back by the Peneplain Jazz Project.
The jazz playlist kicked into high gear as dusk segued to moonlight. Dancing, toasting, and new Western adventures to reflect on. Are you planning a Alice Hardy Stevens Center wedding or reception? I’d be honored to document it. Please click on the camera below to see if I’m available on your day!
